Bruck Therapy Myofascial Release

Welcome to Bruck Therapy

At Bruck Therapy, we specialize in a form of medical massage called Myofascial Release.  It is not intended to be a relaxation massage, but rather this technique locates the muscular root cause of your pain and skillfully corrects the imbalance at its source.  Both acute (short-term) and chronic (long-term) pain/discomfort can be resolved using Myofascial Release.

Tailored Relief Specific to You

Two people can be experiencing a similar pain but for two totally different reasons.  Myofascial release techniques listen to what YOUR body is telling us so we can accurately locate and correct the imbalance that is specifically causing YOUR pain.  The source can literally be coming from the other side of your body!

Meet Your Therapist - Kevin Bruck

For nearly 30 years, Bruck Therapy has specialized in Myofascial Release (MFR) — a gentle, hands-on technique that works with both the muscles and the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports every structure in the body. When fascia becomes tight or restricted due to stress, injury, surgery, inflammation, or long-standing muscle tension, it can limit movement and create persistent pain.

Unlike relaxation massage, Myofascial Release uses slow, sustained pressure to soften and lengthen the tissue. This allows the body to naturally restore balance without force, medication, or invasive treatment. Many clients are often surprised to learn that pain in one area may be caused by restrictions in another - such as foot pain stemming from tightness in the calf.

By releasing these interconnected restrictions, MFR helps the body move more freely, reduce discomfort, and re-establish healthy functional patterns. The goal is not just symptom relief, but lasting change and improved quality of life.

Issues We Treat

At Bruck Therapy, we focus on restoring movement, reducing pain, and improving long-term function with personalized, evidence-based care. Explore the areas we specialize in and take your next step toward healing.

Scar Tissue Buildup

Scar tissue following hip, knee, back, neck, shoulder, heart, or abdominal surgeries, hysterectomies, mastectomies, or childbirth.

Myofascial Release can help reduce restrictions within scarred or adhered tissues. By restoring natural glide between fascial layers, muscles, and skin, clients may experience decreased pain, improved mobility, and greater ease in daily movement patterns.

Radiation Affected Areas

Tightness, pain, swelling, or restricted movement that may develop in tissues following radiation, chemotherapy, or cancer-related surgeries.

Myofascial Release can help soften areas of radiation-affected tissue and support improved circulation, elasticity, and comfort. Treatment is performed gently and mindfully to respect healing timelines and oncology precautions.

Medication Reduction

Many people are able to reduce or discontinue muscle relaxants as symptoms improve, in coordination with their prescribing physician.

Myofascial Release may help improve mobility, reduce protective muscle guarding, and decrease pain signaling. As comfort and function improve, some clients work with their prescribing providers to reassess medication needs over time.

Muscle-Induced Problems

MFR for TMJ, hip or knee pain, frozen shoulder, trigger finger, carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, or chronic headaches.

Myofascial Release helps reduce excessive tissue tension, improve movement of muscle and fascia layers, and restore more efficient neuromuscular coordination. This may support decreased pain and improved mobility across affected regions.

Pelvic or Abdominal Issues

IBS, menstrual cramping, incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, infertility, or aches and pains during and after pregnancy.

MFR can help reduce restrictions within the pelvic floor, abdomen, and surrounding connective tissues. By improving fascial mobility, circulation, and neuromuscular coordination, clients may experience decreased pain, improved function, and greater ease with core and pelvic stability.

Physical Activity Strain

Discover how bodies pushed beyond their limits by athletics, golfing, gardening or other physical activity can benefit from MFR.

Repetitive movement and increased load can create fascial tightness that limits joint range and contributes to compensation patterns. Treatment helps restore balanced tissue length and glide, reduce localized strain, and support more efficient movement mechanics and recovery.

Stress-related Conditions

Stiff or painful neck, soreness between the shoulder blades, low back discomfort, sciatica, or numbness in the hands and fingers.

Chronic stress can create persistent myofascial tension that affects breathing patterns, posture, circulation, and nervous system function. Gentle release techniques help relax tight areas, reduce protective muscle guarding, and support enhanced body awareness, comfort, and autonomic balance.

Postural and Work-Related Strain

Pain and tension caused by prolonged sitting, desk work, lifting, or poor posture habits - including neck, jaw, shoulder, and low-back discomfort.

Prolonged sitting, lifting, or workstation habits can lead to adaptive shortening and overuse in certain muscle groups. Myofascial treatment works to decompress these regions, improve alignment, reduce trigger-point irritation, and promote healthier movement patterns throughout daily tasks.

Patient Resources

Bruck Therapy Brochure

Provides an overview of Myofascial Release, how it works, and what to expect during treatment at Bruck Therapy. To be viewed as intended, it should be printed double-sided and folded as a tri-fold brochure.

Mastectomy and Lumpectomy Recovery

Describes how post-surgical scar tissue can affect movement, posture, and comfort, and how gentle Myofascial Release can support healing and improve mobility after breast surgery.

Pelvic Pain & Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

Explains how fascial restrictions and scar tissue may contribute to pelvic pain and changes in pelvic floor function, and how Myofascial Release can help reduce discomfort and improve mobility.

Pre-natal Preparation & Post-partum Recovery

Describes how Myofascial Release can support the body during pregnancy and post-partum recovery by reducing strain, improving mobility, and helping restore balanced movement.

Success Stories

First-Time Client

"I was skeptical at first, but after one session my years-long low back pain disappeared. If you're unsure, just try it - you’ll feel the difference! I can garden and clean again without pain. I’m so impressed that I’ve asked him to start working on other areas of my body too."

Nancy P.  (67)

"Kevin is truly a blessed therapist. I was at my wits-end trying to get my issues resolved.  He discovered that old trauma started a cascading effect of muscles locking down throughout my body causing so much pain and sleepless nights. Thanks to Kevin and his MFR, I am now pain-free and feel 20 years younger. I refer everyone to him!"
